In 2020 with a Covid-19 devastation all over the globe, drug and alcohol addiction, which always was a big problem in Ukraine, raised to its pick. Max Naumets (read his story of amazing redemption in Christ in testimonial section) who was delivered from it by God, saw his old friends and other young people on the streets of the city, dying from alcohol and drugs, burning their lives, and wanted to help them somehow. After talking with Pastor Vadim, he was pleasantly surprised that the pastor also dreamed of a Rehabilitation Center for Addicted People. They prayed for a long time, and God brough together a team that was ready to sacrifice their time, energy, comfort, and finances to help people get rid of addictions and get to know Christ. God also encouraged the hearts of brothers and sisters from other churches and even from abroad. A small house in the village was bought and remodeled into a beautiful home that was ready to accept up to ten people for rehabilitation. The Center received their first rehabilitant on November 19, 2020. It’s a difficult work to deal with addictions, some come and recover, other come and go back to seek their own fate. But Glory to Our Savior, this summer, 2 people who have been rehabilitated have made a covenant with God. As for now, the center already has 5 rehabilitants who formed a little missionary team to serve in the city, doing the will of Our Creator – help people to be freed from addiction, and learn about Christ the Savior!
